The PsychoLinguistics Laboratory in the Department of MSc. Cognitive Science at TU Kaiserslautern is conducting a new eye-tracking experiment, starting June 2022. The purposed research aims to test and compare language prediction, using eye-tracking, in second language speakers of English, in hopes to better inform linguistics theories and better inform approaches to second language teaching and learning. So, if you are: first language German speaker (with only German spoken in the home) Second language speaker of English Aged from 18 to 45 years old Did not learn a second language until after the age of 5 If you wear glasses in your everyday life, could you wear corrective contact lenses? The experiment usually lasts around 45 minutes in building 57. For your participation we will pay 8 euros or participation hours.
